About Us
When Pentagram Equipment Ltd was founded, the owner Stephen Steadman decided that he needed to offer a company that offered top quality equipment and services at very competitive prices.
Stephen trained as a craft baker in the early 1980’s at a small family business and then worked at Sainsbury’s head office from 1986 until 2002 responsible for equipment design and specification and new concepts.
Stephen also owns a busy retail and wholesale bakery in Lamberhurst, Kent supplying 4 of his own shops and 100 wholesale customers employing around 35 people. The bakery business is totally independent from Pentagram Equipment and run under management.
This means above all else Stephen understands the importance of what an equipment supplier needs to offer their customers in terms of good value high quality equipment that gives a good quality product.
At Pentagram Equipment we have always kept our overheads as low as possible. This enables us to be very competitive in terms of price to our customers. We will never be beaten on price for like for like equipment.
However, this is not at the expense of service. We offer full warranties and service support every day of the year 24 hours a day.
We also have the knowledge and extensive experience as we have been associated with the baking industry for 25 years and have gained in depth understandings of bakery equipment across the World. We source equipment from UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, Sweden and Portugal. 98% of our refrigeration sold is manufactured in the UK. We do not buy equipment from the Far East or China as we feel their quality is inferior.
We supply independent bakers, food service outlets, bake off operations, supermarkets and industrial bakery customers. We also serve many other industries including the meat industry
with equipment.
From our base just 20 minutes from Stansted Airport in Essex we welcome customers to our showroom to test equipment before making any commitment.
